This is the first in a series of employee spotlights. We want our customers and potential customers to get to know our team.
I’m the social media specialist here — the one behind @MemberClicks and this blog! I’ve been with MemberClicks since June of this year, and am loving communicating with people in the industry and getting MemberClicks’ brand out there!
Where were you born? Where did you go to school?
I was born in Los Angeles, Calif. and grew up just outside Atlanta. I recently graduated from the University of Georgia, which I attended because of its excellent journalism school and the resources it could provide me.
Do you have any unique hobbies?
I enjoy practicing yoga — it’s an excellent way to de-stress and a great form of exercise. My banana bread is famous among my friends, and I love experimenting with new recipes. Shopping is one of my favorite weekend activities — I swear by retail therapy and love a good bargain. And I’m always trying to learn more about wine. I love going to wine tastings when I have the chance.
MemberClicks is the champion for small-staff associations. What traits do you have or do you employ daily that make you an effective champion?
Thanks to my journalism background — in both newspapers and television, as well as public relations — I’m an excellent communicator and have embraced new and social media. Multitasking is not a skill, but a way of life for me, and I bring tons of enthusiasm to everything I do. I’ve learned through my internships and past experience that enthusiasm and efficiency are the keys to getting a job done.
What’s your favorite movie?
I love anything starring Audrey Hepburn, and “Charade” is my favorite of her films. It’s not a typical love story, but more of a suspense film. Hepburn and her costar, Cary Grant, have some great chemistry, as well.
What is a company you find refreshing to work with and why?
Google — Gchat, Google Cal, Google Docs and Google Reader help me keep in touch with people and stay organized — especially on-the-go, via my BlackBerry.
